Have the slow internet blues? Apple reportedly will allow you to use their network at their stores to get Lion. I can see this with a notebook. But kinda wonder about lugging your iMac up to the Apple Store with a long extension cord.

After a really straight forward install, I find the biggest thing is getting used to the new gestures and Mail. I like the new layout but sometimes things that I delete don’t seem to disappear immediately as I expect. I like the full page apps and pushing expose/spaces around with 4 fingers.

Is it just me, or does Mail send the email, then AFTER its sent put itself in Drafts sidebar folder (like you did NOT send the email yet)? I noticed this immediately, but it also shows up in the Sent folder.

Lion has been going smoothly for me so far. I’m getting used to the trackpad more than anything else. I have to admit I’m not a gigantic fan of the monochrome scheme for finder and other things. A few of my programs broke, but most are not a big deal. I’ll be posting updates here and there about certain areas over the next week or two.

Lion hides the Restoration partition so that Disk Utility can not see it. One can however confirm it is there using Terminal and the command ’diskutil list’.

Same thing happened to me, but I did post CNN’s instructions link ASAP @ http://acd.us/social/archives/1147 trying to prevent it from happening to everybody else, who tries to install Lion without reading the instructions.
I did the same thing on my Mac Pro because I was eager to jump in. I did make a Lion disc afterwards when I installed it on my Macbook Pro. Loving Lion so far.
